digital memorials

A gentle way to remember, share, and honour a life

Gemini_Generated_Image_aa7bgxaa7bgxaa7b_

feathertap  creates respectful digital memorials for family, friends and loved ones with a public aspect, that can be accessed with a simple tap of your phone on the feathertap logo, allowing memories, stories, and legacies to be shared and carried on into the future

Who feathertap is for

How feathertap works

Each feathertap memorial, once created, is linked to a discreet marker placed on a headstone, burial place or memorial. Whenever a family member, or a member of the public gently taps their phone, on the feathertap logo, (most phones already have a built in 'reader' as standard) a digital memorial opens, just a moment of connection

feathertap makes memories accessable

The tagged feathertap logo forms part of the physical memorial, placed where visitors can pause and reflect — the point where the physical and digital connect. With an optional feathertap QR code, families and loved ones can access this shared space of remembrance from any device, wherever they are in the world.

The public aspect of the feathertap memorial is carefully designed, offering a space where others can share reflections and memories in a thoughtful, respectful way. It may share a name, acknowledge meaningful connections, and offer a brief overview of a life story. It can also include photographs, selected memories, and perhaps even an audio recording or more — all helping to extend and honour a legacy. Additional pages can hold deeper stories, photographs, recordings, music, and videos, shared only with friends and family. Private spaces remain password protected and accessible only to those invited, while selected areas may remain open for public reflection.

feathertap is designed to grow over time — allowing memories to be added, updates to be made, legacies to continue, connections to grow and remembrance to remain accessable, respectful, and secure

About Us

How feathertap grew

While walking through a cemetery one afternoon, reading names on headstones I didn’t recognise, I wondered about the stories behind them. I couldn’t help thinking how much meaning, experience, and value lay quietly behind those stones. Even the headstones of people close to me—people I loved—represented lives reduced to dates, though they were once full and complex.

I found myself thinking that, with a simple tap of a phone, a small part of a life could be shared—not only with me, but with the public: a photograph, a cherished memory, a favourite poem. Not to intrude, but to acknowledge.

From that thought, the feathertap vision was born: a gentle way for memories and legacies to live on, shared openly yet respectfully, allowing past lives to be remembered beyond the stones and quietly affirming that every life holds meaning, and every life is worth remembering

Our Path to Remembrance

Our commitment

feathertap is built on the belief that remembrance should never feel commercial. Public memorial pages remain freely accessible so that anyone can visit, learn, reflect, and remember. To help us maintain the platform, keep costs low, and continue developing a thoughtful space for remembrance, donations are welcome — but always optional. Respect always comes first.

Support is always optional. Respect always comes first.
